side molding

On the passenger side of my car in between the door and front wheel there are 2 little holes on the fender that look like there should be a molding or something.Right below the 2 air vents. Im having the car painted and was wondering if anyone knows what this molding is or if i should have them filled in. Should of taken a pic but didnt think about it. The car is a 99 trans am.

Nothing there on a factory stock vehicle.
Someone maybe added an emblem at one time?

Yer not talkin' down low enough where the side skirt would be attached are ya?

Just above the side skirt i have looked online at alot of trans ams and havent seen anything so some one probably did add something thanks.
