Shifter Boot
The Camaro I just bought needs a new shifter boot (6M), some of the little plastic tabs are broken off of it, so it doesn't lock into place. Where can I buy another one? Will pretty much any boot work? Or does it have to be Camaro specific?
Thanks

I just replaced mine and just went with the GM replacement so as to avoid hassle. Can't go wrong there: the color matches, it fits perfect, etc. My plastic tabs were broken in a few places too. With the new boot and an SLP knob, the center console looks brand new.

Honestly I don't remember the price because I had several other things repaired at the same time but I want to say that it was somewhere around $25, I could be wrong, though.
You can order it from your local GM dealership.

I got a custom one made from this dude in England through e-bay, he has a store and does phenomenal work! Cost me about $40 and some change, but everyone complements on my custom Pontiac Racing Shift Boot with Red stitching! Check him out and shoot an e-mail if you need something custom!

Yeah, I agree, but appearance wise, it's awesome. The one I got is made out of genuine leather and IMO is 100 times better strength, and appearance than that of the OEM Factory ones. I was bored one day and ordered one, but every person who gets in my car always compliments me on it and asks where I got it.
Not everyones gonna like it, but I do and like I said, IMO.
Peace out

Send me a pm if interested in the metal one, and I'll tell you where to get the metal one IF the rest of your boot is good. I just bought one two weeks ago.
