    Question Removing tint?

I know it's a big PITA, but is there anything special I should have to make the job go smoother? I have a heat gun. Is there anything I can buy to get the glue off easier?

    Tint

Ive taken tint out of 2 cars. Its the state law here in Maryland. The first one just wanted to break of in tiny pieces. It sucked and was taking forever. All I used was some windex to make it wet, and a metal scouring pad like you use on pots and pans. Didnt scratch the glass at all and it came right out. Just be a little more careful if scrubbing the hatch glass because of the rear defroster. In the second car the tint itself just pulled right off. Then I used windex again with some paper towels and just cleaned them normaly.

Glass cleaner is the only 'special' product you should need.

Anything with ammonia will help. I've only used the old-school razor blade.

I bought my car down in Va and had to have the tint removed for MD state inspection. I brought it to a tint place and it still killed my rear defroster so just be careful. I ended up have to have the rear window replaced.

Thanks for the tips. Anyone use that goo-gone stuff? I know it works wonders for me with anything I need removed. I am only removing it from the front windows so the defrost is safe.
