    2002 Camaro SS SLP

    Removing "AVS" Logo's

    So i bought a new set of blacked light covers, and they have that stupid white AVS logo, Does anyone know how to remove it without scratching the surface? On my old set, i tried buffing, but it didnt work..

    at the risk of appearing dumb - couldn't you paint over the logo? If it didn't work you still be no worse off in then having to sandpaper it....

    all u need is some goo gone. i got it for like $3 at walmart. dabbed it on the letter, let soak for a few min then pick away with ur finger. no scratches either.

    (Been there, done that. It did not eat into the plastic cover.)

    Companies that make those sort of after market stuff usually know that their customers may not want to have a logo on the parts. So usually some simple rubbing alcohol will help remove it. I would'nt recommend anything as harsh as acitone such as what is found in nail polish remover. They may be melted or fogged by using that sort of chemical.

    Both will work, I think I used goo gone. It will come off very easily.

    Goo gone worked, after 3 secs, it started to melt off, after i put some wax on it, looks great now, Thanks!
