    Removed My Side Molding!

so iv been debating this for a bit based on if my paint was faded and what not... and took the plunge into it finished both sides and am really digging it! heres the before and after.... i will have some more pictures after clay baring it and waxing it...

    part way through passenger side!

    passenger side removed

    driver side removed

and all the molding still in one piece and completly reusable

Looks good. I have thought about doing the same on our car. What did you use to remove the adhesive -- the 3M stuff?

really i pulled the molding off by hand and worked the adhesive with my fingers/thumbs/hands to get it all off used alittle bit of tar and bug remover to get the small stuff off and to weaken the adhesive!

its funny tho if you are not a big f-body person it seems like they dont notice small things like that but to me its a world of difference!

I was debating on whether or not to do this with my car...I was afraid of doing it because my car is white.

Maybe its a TA thing. Camaro guys are all worried about being badged as a ss or a z.

thats cause badges are the only thing to separate the looks of a z from a v6 car other than the exhaust

looks much better. I don't have side moldings on either of my cars and would never put them back on.

It looks nice. I like it. It really never bothered me so I never took the initiative to remove them from my car. Then again, I haven't done any appearance mods on my car to date other then the 35th LE grille.
