Racing Stripes
I have a black 02 WS6. I want racing stripes. (probably silver)
I've seen some stripe kits online that are fairly reasonable. Does anyone know if they are any good? I know paint is the best way to go but money is a lil tight and if I can pinch a few pennies and get the same look it would be a great help.

Stripes are hard to apply sometimes, and also if you ever go to remove them, the paint under them will look different. I am personally not a fan of stripes/vinyls.

I was more concerned with the vinyls peeling or rolling away on the edges.
There is a professional "wrapping" shop in town, do you think they would be able to color match for the vinyl?

If you have the money paint always looks better and won't crack or fade like vinyl. I had a set of vinyls on my 02 bird and after 1 and a half years they really started to break down. They looked faded and started to crack. Another thing bad about vinyl is they usually have like 4 different kinds (meaning the life expectancy of the vinyl) I believe it's like 1 year, 3 year, 5 year something like that. If you don't go with the higher rated stuff it will start to break down after a year (at least mine did) also for the more durable stuff it can be a bit pricey. But you can always look around and see what you like. I liked the way my car looked with the vinyl but after my girl got rear ended in my car I decided to get rid of all the vinyl stripes and go with paint. Couldn't be happier with the results.

Yeah, I agree with what the others on here are saying. I'd hold off on gettin vinyl striping, and just continue to save $$ the best you can to get stripes painted on. It'll actually save you $$ in the long run.
