    Prepping aluminim

I have tt2's brushed aluminum, I want to paint the gloss black and leave the lip aluminum, I need to get them prepped, what cleaners are safe for bare aluminum but are strong enough to remove all the residue from tire shine and armor all so I don't get fish eyes and what paint and clear should I get?

I did a search but didn't find anything specific to my exact questions, I'm wanting to pull the trigger on my rims, headlights, calipers and Berger panel this week

I am REALLY inclined to say denatured alcohol. Or an acetone. I might be wrong, but I think either will remove contaminants.

I use denatured alcohol all the time as a final wash before painting parts, both steel and aluminum.
