    powdercoated my wheels last night....

before: paint over teh factory silver powder...looked okay for about a week, then faded. chipped off badly and just didnt shine....

After: powder coated black, awesome shine, tough, new red trim.

how did you do the calipers..i was curious bout doing mine. cuz the red caliper paint fades too fast. did you just tear the caliper down to nothing, meaning popping all seals and everything out of them, powder, bake and re assemble or what?

whatever you do DONT paint wheels!

it fades, chips, looks like hell after a while. do it the right way and get someone to powdercoat them.

its really not that complicated, the hardest part is learning how to prep parts correctly and temperatures/bake times

I somehow missed this thread before. Dude-those wheels are very cool looking. How did you achieve the red stripe? I really like how you left the very outer edge black then came in a little before you put the red stripe-sweet. Now come over here and polish my helmet!

thanks mang....they were a PITA and ill never do another set that I have to strip.

anyhow, the pinstripe is hand laid by me and the maxwhacks, it was a bitch also, but really sets the wheelz off.

i dont offer helmet polishing services but, ill give you maxwhacks' number
