They only had a hood pad on certain years.. I know the 98-99s do have one. 01-02 do not. Not sure about the '00.

Collector Yellow (54U)- 2002 Trans Am CE
I got my mirrors from Blake Florin over 4 years ago. They have been on the car ever since due to them being attached with 3M double sided emblem adhesive.
I've had no problems with them and they are easy to keep clean. Occasionally some will have water spots that are difficult to remove but I've found that if you use Mequiar's PlastX that it takes it right off and makes them look brand new without any scratching.
The comments I get from others is endless and they are all positive. Some can't believe that I drive the car with them on. But its cool that you can pull in anywhere and pop your hood for instant "Wow factor"2002 Trans Am Collector Edition WS6 ASC# 619

Mirror Kit
Hey I also have a pair of those from a company that I cannot think of at the time. The company I got them from is the only company that makes them with "Trans am bird and lettering" on the two main mirrors in the center= really looks unique. KEEP searching "trans am mirrors" and/or "acrylic mirrors/accessories" and you should find the company I used. Its hard as "hell" to find his company on the web ( I just tried) but keep trying and youll find it just like I did.
