    Porter Cable Buffer Package

Just ordered a Porter Cable buffer with various density pads.
It also came with some polish and tools.
I'm a Meguiars guy and have been for years.
I have lots of their compounds but I've heard that they have a 205 compound and a 105.
I am trying to get rid of some swirl marks.
    No deep scratches anywhere though.
Any tips on what works on black paint jobs.

I have used the 105 and 205 together right after another. Its night and day do a good claying and hit with the 105 then 205.

How do you like the Porter Cable buffer so far. I am looking for a good unit but I have heard that PC is a different company since it was sold a few years ago. Is this true ?

we had a couple brand new PC air nailers out in the stan on our camp. Never had an issue with em at all. So id say they are still a reputable tool company if their product can survive the stan and keep going.

They're nice units, but take a while IMO. I probably had 8 hrs on my C5 Vette hood with only 80% swirl free results (Menzerna polishes).

The good thing is you won't burn through the paint.

The Flex vrg 3401 will do it faster than the Porter Cable.
