home tint ftl its incredibly hard to tint yourself.

i do it professionally, and hell it gets aggravating for me.

in any case, a good tint shop should run you about $40 a glass. maybe slightly more for the rear window. just make sure they do it in one piece.

as for taking the tint off, use a razor scraper and a heat gun. the heat gun will run you about $15 at home depot and its WELL worth the money.

it just ripped off easy, in one piece. then i just used glass cleaner and a razor blade to remove the glue. i retinted with gila tint from autozone . . . seems to match pretty good. it went pretty smoothly, but after i got it out in the sunlight the next day (did it in my crappy lit barn) i have several bubbles. i think is due to i could find my good tinting squeegy and had to use a crappy gila credit card size one. hopefully i can just slightly slit the bubbles with razor blade. makes me mad because it was about the cleanest cut tinting i have done

thats good that it came off easy! my tint on my M5 was a major pita to peel off of the back window. some asshat put it on the car before bought it and i think he was named ray charles.

I used to tint windows in the old days at my old job. Best thing was the clear nail polish around the edges, never peeled again.

I've never run across a roll in the parts store that is wide enough to do the rear window in one piece. Is there a product available to the general public that is large enough?

precut ftl...you have to shrink the film so that it fits correctly.

unless the cheap stuff is so thin that it will fit.
