    Peeling Tint

Do you guys now of any glue (maybe spray) or remedy to fix tint peeling on the edge of my driver's side window. My door was frozen shut a few weeks ago; and I sprayed it with deicer and some warm water but I still had to tug on it a bit to get it open. I believe this started the top of the tint to peel and has gradually gotten worse. I'd like to just repair it if its possible, however, I'm afraid the only fix is to retint that window.

itll never look right if you try to "reglue" it.

retint will be the best i believe.

yeah i know it wont look perfect but its only about 1/4" to 3/8" wide on the edge of the window and the rest of the tint is flawless. when the window is rolled up, it wont even be noticeable. . . i dont know i guess retinting one window would probably only run $30+

didn't find any tint adhesive at walmart . . . any other ideas on an adhesive that would be easy to apply and clean excess? I think thats my main concern, what kind of adhesive could you clean the excess off easily.

If the deicer got between the tint and the glass you'll have to retint.

I have a similiar problem. I guess it is just age but the top started getting loose from hitting the weather stripping. Since that has started it has only gotten worse water got in between the window and the tint made streaks where the tint seperated from the window. Kinda sucks and looks like crap I really need to get mine retinted.

Just use a little bit and spread it evenly. You will see where the glue was applied, but it will never peel again.

hmmm. . . might have to try that . . . once you press the tint back up, what did you clean off the excess nail polish with? just a clean rag? would nail polish remover be safe on the tint to clean off the excess? this is my main concern tryin to make it look clean after using what glue i use, without screwin up the tint. . . which may not be possible
