    Painting Intake?

I will be painting my intake and valve covers soon. my question is the what paint is the best to use for this? i plan on using a rattle can, so which brand? and do you prime it first or just spray? and what is the best paint for the valve covers and coil brackets?

I used rattle can on my white intake. First things tho, I sanded the molding notches off the top and then used a plastic bonding primer (called Bulldog, got it at Walmart) after I lightly sanded the entire intake. I used VHT paint for the color. Then followed by glossy clear coat

Personally, I'd prefer to powdercoat anything I can (IE valve covers) but where I get all my powdercoating, they said they could not do plastic intakes.

    Good luck!

I painted mine back in May when I did my H/C/I swap, and I scratched the paint when I was putting the motor back in the car. Now that the car is in garage for the winter, I took the Intake off, stripped the paint and shipping it off to a sponsor from LS1Tech that specializes in plastic powdercoating. He quoted me $200 to do it. Yeah it's more expensive than a rattle can, but I doubt it will ever come off from normal conditions
