what kind of paint would you have to apply to prevent it from fading things of that nature? would the heat be an issue anyway with painting it?

I read somewhere that painting the bottom of the intake white actually reduces the temperature thus adding a few extra ponies.. anyone else read that?

so if you sand off the original paint and give it a good white base coat before you paint it you will actualy gain power. Paint will last too?

No, I mean, the bottom (underside of the intake) painted white... but I want someone else to verify that...

I've never heard of anyone paint the bottom of the intake white to dissipate heat better.

As far as paint goes, I used duplicolor rattle can paint products. Adhesion paint promoter for plastics, high build primer (gray), base color coat and the clear coat.

The sand paper you can used range from 200 all the way up to 2000 grit. It all the depends how smooth you want the paint to look at the end.

You can paint anything that is under the hood any color as long as they are paintable and prepped right.
