    Painted my brake vents

I painted my brake vents snakeskin green. I think it looks pretty cool. What do you guys think? Sorry for the bad pictures.

This one still needs one more coat of clear on it.

They actually look darker in person, more like this:

Yeah they are still silver because they are the CTS-Vs and came that way. I am going to have them powder coated snakeskin green but power coating places are going to charge me $145 a caliper for that color....so I am saving up. The only place I found that can do that color is this bwoodyperformance.com. Wish I could find a place locally that would do it.

It isn't, it is the special powder. Snakeskin green apparently is expensive.

Looks good!! Did you make them brake vents or are they still just fender openings? Playing around for winter project and thinking of making lower holes in WS6 front bumper openinings for brake ducting and will "run" across rotors and exit thru fender openings (covered by plastic inner fenderwell) so wondering if you did the exit part. I know your powdercoating calipers which will look sharp but if ever painting USE CLEARCOAT.makes ceaning lots easier (looks good to)

Used a flathead screw driver and slowly pried them out. There are clips on the sides of them that hold them in.

Thanks! They are still just fender openings, that is a good idea though, I may have to do something like that.
