Painted MAF ends
well, while i was under the hood today cleaning and checking stuff over, I looked at my ugly, dirty silver MAF ends, and thought about how I was gonna paint them for a long time....
so I popped it out, took it apart, maksed it up, and shot it flat black. I think its awesome looking, and should've done it a long time ago. Heres pics.
Here is a before pic...
and here is the after..... ya guys like it?

That's a good start. Now, just get some CD2 and clean up the rest of it and then shine the aluminum and steel areas with some metal polish and steel wool.
Flitz or neverdull would work fine.

Correction, clean the whole engine bay with simple green first. that will prep the areas needed for detail.

Be sure and fill the opti spark full of water.J/K
be careful not to soak the distributor, and don't let the degreaser set too long on the paint ,because the under hood paint is not clear coated and can be stripped of very easily.
This is an under hood shot of my old lt1 car, it had no mass air

Yeah, forgot about the opispark issue with the LT1s. Good call.
CD2 is just detailer though. I wouldn't use degreaser. Just simple green.
