    Paint Question

Quick question. My Camaro has the C-A-M-A-R-O letters in the rear painted in with what I assume is model paint or some kind of touch up paint. White car and the letters are painted black. It is starting to chip off and starting to look like crap and I would like to put the vynal letters in instead of painting it again. How could I go about getting the black paint out with out hurting the White original paint?

This kids posts never make sense.

I dont know what to tell except be careful. youll prob just have to play with it untill you can get it all to chip off.

I have those vinyl inserts, got them on ebay in Feb. It took some serious patients to get on just right, and some trimming, but its been almost six months and no problems. its been power washed many times and seen temps ranging from freezing to 110.

maybe hit the letters with a hair drier, or heat gun. if it wasnt prepped good before that might lossen the black paint, just dont get it so hot that you burn the white paint.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to give the hair dryer a try. Hopefully they used cheap paint. I really hate to try to chip it off. If I hurt the white paint I'll never forgive myself but if worse comes to worse I'll give that a try as well.
    Thanks again!
