    Paint matching?

I must get my front bump repainted due to someone giving it a love tap. I'd also like to touch up my doors because theyre kind scuffed cant tell when its waxed but after getting washed or rain it stand out and looks terrible. My question is how hard is it to match a factory color? I love my car and the scuffs and chips in the bumper make me really not like driving it because i dont want it to be seen lol. The repair must be unnoticable. So like I said how hard is it to match the paint color (silver), i will be painting the whole bumper, but if i touch up the doors will it be noticable, and also what product should I used? I do not have a paint gun or booth, so I may just get it professionally done if the price is right.

There are several factors you need to rember, is you paint faded at all? after all these cars are 14 to 10 years old. The best way to make sure the whole car matches and the right way to do the job is to sand the whole car and spray it with a coat of color and then clear, but this is expensive. A good painter can match it and youll never be able to tell anything was ever there. Look around for a good painter if your gona go that route and dont rush into anything.

You really need a good painter. I had a love tap on my back bumper which caused a spiderweb affect. The painter was able to fix it and blended it in and didn't have to paint the whole bumper.

You don't have to color match black...I had my bumper repainted with the stock color and you can't even tell. I have to get it done again cause some douche backed into me, and I'm not worried about the paint not matching.

Silver is one of the worst colors to paint match. If you paint anything on the car and do not blend it, odds are it will not look good at all.

silver paint is just a real pain. if you are going to paint the doors you absolutely need to blend in order to trick they eye into thinking it is all the same color.
