Opinions for Polished Calipers? Pics
Opinions please, this was the first time I polished anything. I wanted something different than painted calipers. Thanks to Spaz for the posting help.

Yeah, I work in Iraq as a contractor and have some spare time to kill. They took for ever to polish and even still they are not finished yet. Thanks for the replies, didn't really know how good they looked.

if it makes you feel any better every time you clean and shine them up they will look even better. take them outside and look them over, dont sit under a shop light and try to get them prefect( you will kill yourself trying lol)
in natural sunlight they will look perfect.
Good job man!

I used a 2" ROL-LOC pad(from 3M) and a 90 degree die grinder, to sand all the heavy stuff first, all areas that you would see as it is mounted. Next went back over it 400 grit sand paper. Hint, the more you sand it, the better the results. Sanding everything took many hours, not hard just time consuming. Then I used a 30$ from Harbor Freight (for Alum. only) and followed the directions. You can down load a free instruction book from CASWELL PLATING, for better detailed description. What you saw in the pictures was only after the first compound/polish, there are a total of three for aluminum. I done this when I had nothing to do. Hope this helps.
