All the parts stores around me have led strips that will work fine. If you're looking for something completely custom you'll probably need to look somewhere else. Good luck!

I would go to Superbrightleds.com and get a waterproof strip that you can cut into segments. Works well and good price. It also does not require resistors. just hook up the power and ground and your good to go.

Very nice. I personally don't think "rice" at all. Don't know why, but the red ones reminded me of the Trans Am commercials from 1998. Anyone remember these? Gives me warm fuzzies... Enjoy!

Right so I installed the red LED strip in my SS today. I took some pictures of me installing it, and I'm going to wait for tonight to take some pictures. It definitely doesn't look as cool as a TA in my opinion. I think I'm going to put a second strip in there to brighten it up.

Ok so I just installed the second LED strip in my garage, I took some pictures but my headlights kind of blur everything out. How the shit do I turn off my auto-turn-on headlights? Anyways I hooked it up to my dimmer switch so I can control how bright it is, and I must say, it looks sweet. When it gets dark I'll take some more photos and post them.

Looks great...I think I want to do this on my Black SS with red lights as well.
Can you possibly do a small write up on how you installed it and what connections you made? About how long did the install take you think?

It's pretty bad that the Write-ups differ so much between the Trans Am and Camaro...

Anything special I should do to write a write-up? Or just post a new thread with pictures and explanations?

Looks pretty good...First SS I've seen with the intake lit up. Can you hide the LED's a little better? I've never seen the inside of an SS hood. On the WS.6 there is a recess where I tucked the neon into, and then lined the back of the baffle with metallic tape so the light would reflect out. Can you do that as well?

Nah there's no recess, to prevent people from seeing the LEDs I put them on the top of the scoop, however what you're seeing in the picture is actually the reflection of the lights on the hood.
