Yeah i know it looks like the weather strip along the driver side windshield seems faded.
It's not, it's the way the flash and sunshine are hitting it. I asure you it's spotless..

Did you sell the Camaro? All that Hummer needs are some good, rugged, off-road style rims.

The 120k killed it's value, aside from being a v6.. It was loaded and everything worked but @ 120 they don't really care..lol

We looked @ Toyota FJ cuiser also.. But for the value and options the FJ is'nt where it's @.. We looked @ many diferent makes models of SUV's. The Hummer was the best value for the price, and retains value better than any of the others.. Especially from the others in the GM lineup.. Not too shabby for an SUV 3yrs old and is no longer made imo.. 22k will get you a base 2wd FJ here.. Or you can buy a low mileage Hummer, and pull the lid off a sub..lol

She's got the Generals tag on the front fenders.. It's a little brushed metal square stamped "GM". I almost completely turned my back on the General..
To tell you the truth I would'nt wish that thing on anyone.. Towards the end all I did was throw money @ it to keep it in mechanical shape.. But the engine was getting tired and @ 12 mpg's HWY.. It's cheeper to run a Hummer.. lmao Engine burned oil from the day we got it @ 26k but it did'nt smoke @ idle and ran good.. Over time it just began to consume more and more fuel and the only codes it had ever thrown was for the cat, which was replaced, and for the dead coil it had which was replaced.. I got it to slow down on oil consumtion by comming up with an oil soup of various weights..
Went clear into the valley and did'nt see anything out of the ordinary..
Power began to noticibly fall and again no codes.. The under lying problem was illusive, even thow I have all the tools I need @ my disposal I could'nt put Humpty Dumpty back together again..lol Transmission and rear all began showing sighns of being shot @ around the same time.. Top it off with me knowing the paint would one day fall off, it was time to cut her loose.. When I do another F-body it will be one like I had when I was a teen, a 3rd gen.. I have to say it was a far better design..imho..
But thanx guys..!Last edited by Smittro; 06-06-2011 at 09:57 AM.
