2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
I'll post pics of mine when I get home...
I started off using Cold Cathode Tubes (What you see in shop windows and stuff)...I bought a package online that was SUPPOSED to be red, but ended up pink and looked
So, I went to Autozone and bought a kit that had 2 strips of 7 red LEDs. It's water proof and had double sided tape on the back (which didn't hold up well, so I replaced it with 3M Tape from Walmart). The whole thing was easy to install, but since I'm OCD, I spent a lot of time taking it off and putting it back on till it looked good (the Ram Air Hood isn't the same on both sides inside the Ram Air).
And just recently, I wired up the same kit into the bottom two nostrils, but due to the Hood latch being in the way, it didn't show up well, so I disabled the bottom till I could figure out a way to make both sides look even (stupid OCD).
Side Note...if you want to make it REALLY stand out, go buy some Aluminum Tape from either AutoZone or Homedepot/Lowes so it reflects the light off of the Baffles...NOT Duct Tape, but actuall metal tape.
I'll take pitures when I get out of work tonight and I'll post them shortly afterwards.
Edit: If you look at my avatar, you can sort of see the silver tape in my Ram Air...

I think Im going to do this. They have a few red LED tubes at squalmart and have them on clearance for like 5 bucks a piece.

A little too Knight Riderish for me. But it does look cool
BTW: Those are illegal to have on when your driving on the streets of MD. No forward facing red lights except on Emergency vehiclesLast edited by krisb410; 06-09-2008 at 07:10 PM.

I used the same lights as ls1camino did, but put them behind my side vents in the fenders. Looks like blood from inside the beast! I've told people it's the headers glowing red hot!
