Need design input
I am planning on changing the decal I have on the side of my car and am going to make a set of center caps, i want the designs to match each other. I already have a simple design that I came up with and like but it is too plain and im not sure what to add to it or what style lines i should use to break it up.
This is what i came up with it stands for David Singleton Design
and this is where i want to put it. im afraid when i scale it up to this size it will look very plain . . .

I think you're right about the size issue. As far as it looking plain, think about this, Chip Foose's signature logo is'nt all that spectacular. Placement is the issue here. I don't mean to ruin your day, but the bottom of the roof pillar is'nt the greatest place to put it. Maybe scale it down, and put it on the the little sail panel behind the door. If you have a Trans Am you could rub off the "Trans Am" lettering on the tailight filler panel, and place it there. Subtlety is the key issue. Don't try to make a "Hey look at me!" statement. I understand you're proud of what you did but don't try to rub it in people's faces. When they look at your car and see a well placed logo they'll wonder what's that? Is that a designer I never heard of? That's just my opinion, you can always do whatever you want...it is YOUR car after all.

You know the LS1 is actually about 346ci, not 350?!?
IMO, the DSD as shown may not 'flow' that well on the outside of the car.
Unless you can possibly make it similar to the 'Trans Am' text or something like that?

Plain and clean look best. I'm want to remove all emblems. If people can't tell what it is when they here it, then give them a wakeup at the light. Thats what stoplights are for.

I personally think that dsd logo looks real clean and nice. I is a bit plain but as said above if its placed correctly then it can look real good and make people wonder what it is and hopefully get you business, if that's what your looking for.
