well i hit a major snag... to answer your question the hood fits horribly... I bought it from Certi-Fit in baltimore. it had a perfect gap where it meets the headlights but the bottom of the hood was off by an inch. Im currently in the process of finding another good hood for a good price.... anyone have any good suggestions?

I really like the hood. Looks powerful. Goodluck on your paint job. I'm thinking you will have a great output when you are finish.

American sportscar design still sells the hood. This was actually my second choice anyways, love the way it looks so this may end up on there yet... even though it kind of strays from my keep it stock appearing idea

They might be still selling it....last time I contacted them about this hood (cause it is the hood that I want on my car) they said they were not carrying them anymore and that it was the decision on the owners part...due to there was no market for it. I was ready to pay right then and there...till they told me that, so I don't know....maybe they do, I'm just going off of what they had told me....
But that hood would look soooo sick on your '97, plus, not very many people have that hood...and you can still keep your stock appearance except with a hood that is sleek looking and just plain bad ass! IMO though!

I do like the raptor hood but it needs to have more of a bubble to it rather than just being a straight cowl. Everything else on the trans am curves... the hood is to ridget. I think they could have made it look alot better. Ill be plenty happy with the stock ram air though. I think ittl complete the look ive been going for... i may do some blackbird stripes, havent decided yet. Anyone know where i can get a set for the LT1 style hood?

lol.. yea it dose look like a sunfire that way... never thought of that... good stuff lol... Well heres some updated pictures, Picked up the new hood yesterday, Its a perfect fit... just needs a little body work. The kid that had it on his 94 rolled it and gave her a nice case of road rash... nothing to hard to fix though. I figure any hood that can withstand that must be a tough son of a bitch so id say shes a keeper lol.
