My COMPLETE LED changeover in PICS !

it took me some time but I have finally finished my LED changeover......it took so long cuz LEDS aint cheap !!! the hardest part was picking the right bulb..........some bulbs that were suggested did not end up being what I really wanted so back to the drawing board I went....

did the dash lights last......but you will see them first



the plastic piece is held on by these clips......just pull it straight out.........and finagle it in evey angle to clear the steering column

i had 2 clips that broke off..............dont know if it was me or old age.......the left side clip at the bottom by the steering column is a PITA !!! I removed it to ease re-installation

the fog light switch is another PITA.....pull the wire out to get to the connector and disconnect.......it will be wrapped up in tape

i replaced the bulb in the headlight switch too

the bulb is right on top but I ended up having to remove the whole assembly AND disassembling it to put the new bulb in.....the plastic on the new bulb housing was a tad larger causing interference

look ma.......no gauges.....unscrew the tilt lever and remove.......makes it a whole lot easier.......and again.....it takes some finagling to get that puppy out.......but it will come out

you will need 8 bulbs.......5 for the main lighting.......2 green for turns......1 blue for highbeam

green LED in holder......the bulb holders are hard to turn but they do turn to remove

I initially got these LEDs in red due to a recommendation from Sommers......but I got one that was bad out of my 5......( check them BEFORE you install !! ) and ended up using some others that I had...........the ones I was going to use before had that recommendation

i put a red LED in here......it is brighter than stock........but the red is actually washed out with the red lens behind the overlay.....I am going to go with a white LED to see if it looks better

the green LEDs for turn are BRIGHT !!!!

i had a white LED in the shifter but changed it out to red......MUCH better in red

went with a flat panel in the rear.............waaaay brighter than the stock style LED
