    Lit up Berger Panel

After cutting out the letters....before paint and lighting

    All after lights and paint.

I used 3 19" flexible and waterproof LED strips for the lighting, bought them on the web for like $20 each from a great site, if anybody wants the link just let me know....I think I'm gonna replace all my interior lights and add some light to the engine bay with the strips.

The lights are a little brighter than they look, but the camera flash dims them out, the last pic is without flash.....that's why you can't see anything else.

Did you put anything on the panel to prevent water from coming in? It looks good with the lights on.

Well, I didn't put anything around the outside of the panel, but the lights I encased in a reflective silver tape thats waterproof so I dont have to worry about condensation and the light gets reflected out the plexiglass front.

I do live in Vegas though, so I wasn't all too concerned about water

Looks like a good clean job. If you do the interior lights, don't go too crazy and it should come out great. One thing I like about my interior set up, it's all running off of the power to the dome light; and I'm not even using 1/3 of the power used to light up the stock dome filament bulb.

that looks real cool! very unique! i think i would try to find a way to put a clear thin backing between the LED strips and the panel so water doesn't go in between..

Beautiful car you got there SIK02SS.

About the water entering....The lights are actually encased in an entirely waterproof plexiglass box, then that is mounted to the inside of the panel. I left a few run-off points between the box and panel, underneath the lettering so that when water does enter, it just channels through them. What you are actually seeing when you look at it is the front of the plexiglass box, which is frosted and tinted.
