I have a cars inc. catalog in front of me with all of the emblems for a Camaro, Chevelle, and Nova. Every single emblem is the same. Call em up and ask em if there is a difference! I will even get pics up tonight showing you that there is a difference!
For the front one with a bend in it yes thats what I said, NOT THE TAIL EMBLEM WE WERE TALKING ABOUT. The front is a totally different emblem.

You are telling me that there is no difference?

And it does not make a difference what car it is from!

You said all emblems are the same, not me! I took my billet grille in NPD and tried all the emblem years to find the one with the correct curve in it to match. For the rear it is flat so I picked the part number from above and used it and these are camaro parts, I did not look at other catalogs. The mm scale does not lie and the rear emblem is exact any way you measure it. I just wanted you to know that I checked it again when you referenced the bottom to top width. We will agree to disagree. There was a slight difference in the front one because I tried your theory on that one and it was. Not all emblems are the same because when they are laying in front of you at NPD you can see sizes and shapes differ. No catalog or photo does them justice.

The bend has nothing to do with the actual "SS"! Come on now!

You told me you are 100% sure it is upside down without anything but a photo and I have stated that this emblem is not by measuring it physically. I have the proof because I can measure it. You are also not looking in the catalog I used (apples and oranges).

So are you saying that they manufacture it to their own standards? I don't think so bud! I work for a company who remanufactures these GM parts.

    It's upside down.

Open the SS 427 emblem in your favorite photo editing program.

Then crop it so you just have the SS showing.

    Then flip it 180 degrees.

There IS a right way and a wrong way!

Your link proves my point that there are many different styles and shapes of "SS" emblems and your red one is larger on the bottom. My flat "SS" white emblem looks nothing like that shape wise and does not hang out on the end like that one does. Cool emblem, is that the 64 "SS" off the chevelle?

Yes, the "SS" emblem on my web page is a pic of the emblem that is on the trunk.
