the hoopty takes a hit....
so my own father has just broadsided me in the driveway....that son of a b!
the pics arent too great and there was just scuffing of the paint but upon further inspection where he brushed into me pushed the gas tank cap back and caused sort of a ripple effect.
look at the gas tank cap
here again, the crapola that occured at 7:30 in the morning on a non-school day too! j/k...
im fairly sure i can get the scuffing out maybe without having to repaint (but im open to suggestions) but does anyone have any clue as how to go about repairing the ripple and flushing the gas tank cap up again. it isnt really that bad but you can notice it looking at it. just an annoyance.
im not mad about it, just kind of a hassle with the low funds of a college going douche bag such as my self. and hey, my dads had to deal with enough of my shit so we'll call this unintentional payback!
help and suggestions are appreciated. i am a complete novice at body work.

From what I can see, it might mostly all buff out. As for your ripple... I'm having a hard time seeing it. You might need a vist to paintless dent repair guy. Get the scuffs out it and might not be a big enough deal to get fixed right now. Good luck.
If you call your dad a "son of a b..." then does that make your Granny a b... nevermind.

buff it and look around at different junk yards until you can find one the same color as yours. will be cheaper than getting it painted or turning it in. until then dont point it out and no one will notice it

hey bitch... those only serve one purpose...drag radials.
those wheels were given to me by my buddy. yes they are completely filthy. what you see there is after 2 hours of fine combing with an sos pad and alot of soap. they pretty much suck but do serve a good purpose....
shit'll buff out!! what the hell is that line from dude?
tommy boy? or joe dirt?

a good body man will knock that out no prob with jus tsome deep polishing and wax, but from my experience with stuff like that, you have to keep maintaining it by polishing that spot a couple more times a year to keep it looking proper

tell him that since he can't be trusted in his own driveway, there's no way he can be trusted on the open road...

Damn dude that sucks but it may buff out with the right stuff. Goose is the master at car care/buffing he might have some suggestions for you. I almost hit my door into a gate while backing out of the tranny shop a few days ago. It was so tight with cars parked everywhere-I look over at one point and I am like 2 inches from the gate with my door!! Good Luck fixin her man! Very cool of you BTW not going off on your dad. I prolly would have lost it.

"What'd you do???" (Tommy Boy)
Yeah, I think the "Ripple" you see just before the bump to open the door is how they are designed... buff out the scrape.. give it a good deatailing, claybar, polish, paint cleaner, and wax.. and you should be fine.-Geno

"youre brains the one with the shell on it, shut up richard..."
thanks for the reassurance! i decided a few days ago after close inspection there was in fact no ripple. you just really notice things when something like this happens to them. before i never really took assessement of my rear quarter panel.
amen.

But yeah, I know what you mean about not noticing things until something bad happens there... Let us know what the end result is.

ha ha whats up mike?
Richard Hayden: Hey... I was just thinking... when we stopped for gas this morning I think it was you who put the oil in.
Tommy: Hey if you're going to say I didn't put the right kind in, you're wrong. I used 10-W-30. And besides, motor oil would have nothing to do with this accident.
Richard Hayden: True. But you can't latch the hood too well, if you don't take the can out, you no-selling waste of space. I swear to God, you're worthless.
