hids..internal or external

im looking at hids for my car...obviuosly as i have a thread a few topics down bout where to tget the fog hid's....but i came across this...do i get the slim ballast hid's? or do i get the internal ignitor hid's? their both the same price..but dont know which one would be the better bang for my buck...any info would be nice...thanks

I've had the slims for 6 months or so with no problems. Don't know anything about the internal ignitors so can't say.

I think the difference between the two is the install. I'm not sure how much of a performance difference there is.

honestly they look like they install the same..the slim ballast has a external ignitor, so their is an extra block, in the wiring. where as all i can see that is different with the internal is there is no extra block. it is literally the bulb and ballast. so hook up and go...but was curious if anyone had input on the 2 setups
