HID Problems NO IDEA
I posted on LS1TECH but i wanted your guys opinion too. So i bought fogs and low beams from ddm tuning and i installed the fogs. My problem is that when they are on for about 5 minutes and i'm driving my wipers will start to move and a weird sound comes from the wiper motors as far as i can tell. Only does it when im driving so far. Does this mean i need to upgrade the wire harness for the fogs? If so should i upgrade the low beams too?

Never heard of upgrading the harnesses. Just using relays. This is interesting. Never heard of things like this before.

I used universal relays you can get at any autoparts store i think they are 9 dollars each. They wire up just like aftermarket fog lights. Pm me if needed and I can go into detail for you or u can do a search Im sure there is a write up some where.

Have you tried the relays yet? If you are running relays and are still having this problem, methinks maybe you have some wiring issues under the dash or in the steering column. Maybe wires rubbing together?

I have all my low and fog lights setup plug and play no relays. It's not the fogs there is some other issue. HID's don't draw alot of current where you need a relay. Only setup I have is on my 93 LX 5.0 since I have the BI xenon setup for high low in one bulb. All my regular hid's a pluged right in aon my Trailblazer and sevral customers cars.

while ryan you guys are lucky cause its a problem i need to fix. I have found out from a few others that it could be a 98 thing. SO until i hear back, i can't really say yes or no to being some other problem.

I am still leaning toward the rubbing wires possibility.

Glad you figured it out. Once you drive with those HID's you will never go back to regular headlights. I even put a set in my dump truck
