    HID Bulb Change

I have HIDs in my stock fog lights (880 Bulbs) for my Grand Prix, and one of them burned out for apparently no reason, so I need to replace it. While I'm at it, I want to replace my melting stock housings, so I'm thinking about the BlazerTech 2200 Fog Lights. The problem is that they take H3 Bulbs.

Question is this...can I just buy some H3 HID bulbs and plug them into the 880 HID Kit and have them work properly?

You mean HID style bulbs, or true HID ignitors?

They're the bulbs with the tube and the what looks like magnesium bar going down the side of it.

I want to start with the cheap part first (bulbs) before moving onto buying a whole kit.

Check out eBay. You can get a pair of brand new ignitors for $25.

Yes, as long as the wattage is the same. But just make sure its not your ballast first.

Yeah, it's not the ballast...I forgot to mention that I switch the bulbs to the other side and the same bulb is having problems.
