    help with weather stripping

    I just bought a trans am and the weather stipping on the passenger door is popping up. Is there a way to clip it back into place.

    maby some THIN 3M adhesive tape but you can use vasoline to recondition the seals...and keep them from cracking on you

    I've heard baby oil is the way to go and that vasoline would deteriorate them.

    Yea. I try using double sided tape but that didnt work. As soon as i close the door it would pop back up

    Can't really see the pic but if it is the strip I am thinking and it is riding up out of the door Here is what I did.
    I ordered a new one from GMpartsdirect about $50.00 and just replaced it.
    The stock one is held on with a plastic clip and self tapping screw into part of the door.On mine the screw at the rear of the door had broken out of it's hole.You have to take the door panel,side mirror and mirror brace out to replace it.The new strip came with steel clips that require no srews to hold it in.
