Help me paint my tail lights
O.K. this is just an idea to make my car a little more different than you r average black WS6. My idea is to have a thin strip taillight to give an exotic look. Please give your honest opinions and I promise you won't hurt my feelings if ya don't like it.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
I like the stockers as they are, i don't even like when people black those out.
and it looks like a totally different car from the rear.

Lot of guys paint the tail lights with VHT Nightshades or Testors model master transparent black tint but, I don't recommend anything but the side markers and third brake light unless you paint the top and sides the body color of the car.
For the back, just get some tail light covers but, be sure to adhere the right side with some double sided tape. Try WS6store.com
Next, the fog light and turn signals you can get smoked or whatever color you want. Fbodyenhancements.com for that.
Hope this helps. Pm me if you need more info.

I'm not worried about the cops. They've never said anything about the tail lights. Just my driving.

Thats exactly what i was thinkin. put up some pics, maybe itll look beast, but I still think the covers are easier of a mod. less hassle, can be removed, can always reverse the blackouts if it gets old specially when looking at new tail lights prices. plus i've never had problems with my covers

Guys, I don't want blackouts and I've painted at least 20 pair with translucent black ( clear black) for others. Like I said I want mine to look different from what's out there.

Well if you used the VHT stuff it's probably too black. I tried that on the first set I did and never used it again for that reason, and I could get clearcoat to lay out better. Basically I just tint my clearcoat with black pigment and spray away. Obviously the more coats the darker and more opaque it'll be.
