    Help, Door Panel Inserts

When i got my Custom leather in, I had gotten door panel inserts to go in place of the cloth section, I was wondering how to install them or the best way to install them, do they pop off or snap off, or do I need to remove the whole door panel, I am wanting to go with out the last option Dont feel like taking my door panels off again...thanks for the help in advanced.

I am pretty sure you have to take off the door panels. It is a pain in the ass.

Yes, they are melted to the panel. The vinyl insert tabs are stuck through the frame and then melted until they mushroom. The insert is also attached the the front top panel that has plastic pins melted to fasten it. You need a soder gun of some sort to melt the tabs. You are gonna need extra plastic, which most kinds of plastic will work. You will also need to cut the staples where the weatherstrip meets the insert. Here is pic of what it looks like. This was the panel in my car that got beat up from my accident.

forget that...I am just going to sell them for something...ahaha I am not going through all of that to put some black vinyl on there...thanks for help and information. Definitly a deciding factor if I was going to do it or not. I think they were 50$ extra with the kit. I can get 30$ off of them.
