gold calipers? or black, cool or not

my 02 ws6 is a black. chrome ws6 wheels, for now. i want all black wheels some day, but for now. do u think painting my calipers gold would look good on my black ws6. or black calipers? everybody does red caliper paint, which is cool and all. i think gold would make the calipers look more exotic sports car, than just another average f body. im torn between keeping the all black theme of the car. and doing the cal. black, i bet no one would notice or see them to noticied i painted them anyway. who thinks gold would be bad ass????????????

Gold would not look good IMO

Polishing them would look good, black would be nice too.

Another vote for polishing. Blue is also a good color to go with black. You could polish the caliper and paint the bracket. Wait, wait, don't do that... that's what I'm going to do. Do something different.

Perhaps if you had gold accents on the car, gold would look OK. But, personally, I wouldn't go gold on a blacked out car. That's just me though. Do what you like.

i say the same thing. if you did a smoky and the bandit thing with more gold in like the grills and a set of snow flake wheels it would be bad ass.

That's not horrible or anything. But, I still think that there needs to be more gold accents on the car to support it

Polished my calipers a while back and painted brackets black. Definitely the best choice to me.

Can't find pictures and car is 1500 miles from me right now. I'll get some one day

i think you need the right calipers too, those quad piston set up is just a cool looking caliper.

I would say polish but they're bitch to clean. My front calipers were polished for a little while and I got tired of cleaning them therefore I painted them gloss black w/ clear.

gold wouldn't look that great IMO

black = looks great, low maintenance for cleaning
polished = looks great, bitch to clean
red = looks awesome with a black body, in between black & polished as far as cleaning is concerned.

ive been wanting to paint mine red and then i realizd how to many people have done it so i was thinking doing mine a flat black because my car is black with chrome rims i think it would lik nice and simple

if your going for blacked out look, id polish the calipers, but with chrome wheels on a black car, i say go black....

Pre painted... just clean

polishing the calipers is such a bitch

I had originally planned to polish mine but I gave up after it took me around 1.5-2 hours to completely polish it. I just gave up and painted them all red, luv the way it looks with my black rims. I got a friend w/ a green civic w/gold brakes...looks like shit imo. but it could look completely diff on a f body. I say black em all out or red. just my .02
