And what is that ? Stock hood w/ free ram air, all stock, stock w/ ftra, stock ta hood w/ scoops ? Where's the info so I can tear ur weak/false info apart. FTRA/SSRA is king to all non Turbo/SC induction. Accept it. Learn. Get more hp. Thank me later <3

I'm trying to see how you can get a Ram Air effect while strapped on to a Dyno. Even a blower/fan couldn't put out the volume/pressure of air you get on the highway to create the true advantage of the so called Ram Air effect.

So whatever "gains" you get from the hoods weight you are actually losing since you are starving the engine of air. So basically just lay off the twinkies and lose the 10lbs to make up for the difference that you get from the CF hood
Put the pipe down and walk away man. A ram air hood is purely a cosmetic mod. Learn it, live it.

I'd do fiberglass but you do what you want. It's your car after all.

I can't even believe this is still being debated after all these years. For fucks sake, while we're at it, I guess all 6 speeds are also half a second faster than any A4. So a 6 speed Firehawk (since the holes are bigger!11!!!!11!!!) would be about 2 seconds faster than an A4 Z28! How about them there super secret 02 cars that had the LS6 block! It has a ZO6 engine!11!!! If the sarcasm were dripping any thicker, I'd think Peter North just blew a load all over the face of stupidity.

Seriously, do some of you even go to the track?

lol I switched to a ram air hood purely for cosmetics. If i were to try for an all out top speed, probably switch to the base firebird hood (tas too) for less frontal drag at a cost for downforce. Not much. Theres only SO much air that can actually be "RAM" in a N/A motor. If Ram air made that big of a difference, the Ram air Grand Ams that cam out around the 2000s would have been in the 300 hp range lol
    Anywho, back to carbonfiber
Anyeord where to look into that? Im considering alot of work into carbonfiber. starting with underbody panels, diffuser, and front splitter. Probably painted. Lets face it, carbonfiber is lighter and if an ENTIRE car can be made in carbonfiber (lambos and ferrais) A few panels here and there can help save some weight in our relativly HEAVY cars. Instead of losig weight by throwing away your creature comforts like AC and rear seats, how about switching heavy parts for lighter ones. im for it. maybe not leave it unpainted unless it can look good. accents and whatnot. not whole hoods lol Use the theory that made lotus what it is today. Add lightness Tell you what, i could run a whole lot faster if i lost 30 or 40 lbs, so could your car lol
