Here's the problem with finding Firehawk stuff- trust me, I've looked: SLP does not license anyone to make anything with the Firehawk logo or script on it and many people will not make emblems, plaques, etc because of this. After speaking with SLP about this, they said that it was okay to use the script to make decals and plaques simply because the tooling to make them from SLP has been destroyed and there is no other way to get replacement needs in case of loss or damage. But here's the catch: vendors can not advertise that they make Firehawk specific parts, you have to ask for them. It's a catch 22- You can ask for the parts to be made, but most places won't make them because they haven't specifically been given the authorization to use the scripts, but SLP has an unwritten rule about reproducing the script as long as you don't advertise you can do it. Crazy, huh? And this was straight from a guy at SLP who said he couldn't give me anything in writing...
The guy that did my Firehawk script on my calipers and the filler panel was recommended to me from another Firehawk owner, but he only does vinyl decals. I'm still trying to find someone to do a couple of plaques for me (all my stuff was stripped off by a previous owner...bastard) and I've seen someone who did the embroidery on the headrests. Wouldn't mind getting one of those PMs as well Cheetoh! Looking to get mine done when I redo the interior next summer.Last edited by bberretta; 04-21-2010 at 05:37 AM.
