    Faded t-top divider bar????

After 9 years of brutal sun light my t top divider bar is severely faded, should I replace, paint, or is there something to take the hazing effect away??? Thanks!!

Mine is getting the same way...I did what I could to bring it back.
Never even thought to polish/protect that strip.

Did okay on it...but it could use some paint.

It's the bar between the t-tops, where the t-tops slide in, in the center of car. The part exposed when t-tops are removed looks great but the 2-3 inch strip that is always exposed looks more like a grayish tint than black. Looks fine when wet but dry looks like crap. I believe it is plastic and is attached by screws. I was wondering if there might be something to buff it back or clean it with. Also, if painting it is the solution, will I need the base and clear, or is there a can glossy black that would look good. Thanks

    It is painted aluminum.
(I have one available that has been repainted if anyone is interested. $25 shipped.)
Or sometimes you can find them on Ebay for sale.
Yes, you can possibly use Plast-X to buff it. Not sure it will bring it back or not, but it should.
