Does this type of paint exist?

I'm sure this will be a yes but, to all the custom paint gurus out there, do they make a paint that goes from a matte black, to any other color? like in one angle it looks flat matte black, and another angle looks gold? I'm sure it's some sort of chameleon paint but im not sure

If there is, then it's expensive. I am tempted to say House of Kolor but I could be wrong.

I'd almost be tempted to say chamealeon? (spell check) House of kolor? I've heard it before but what is it?

I can't remember what HoK calls it, but I have seen folks on that show RIDES say that a pint costs like $2k. Color-shifting paint is $$$$.

I'm not a painter, but I know that custom colors are epensive and take time to get right.

Back where I used to live, the local body shop was able to do a pearl white on my old car. I had a nbm ws6, and the stripes were painted on white with a pearl blue tint. So I guess I'll just have to look around, but now I know what I want, so I think a bandit edition in that black to gold paint would look sharp.

Would be rare and cool as there was no 4th gen Bandit option offered. So make your own I say.

They might be able to do a gold base and then do a light coat black with pearl. Follow it all up with flat clear. Find someone who does custom paint near you and talk to them.

there is no color that goes from flat black to another color a DARK matte gold may appear black from a certain angle but a chamealeon color that is flat dosent exsist i mean you could base a car with chamealeon and then add flatner to your clear but chances are that wont turn out pretty

i found out that 3rdgendecals.com has a special type of decal that goes from flat black to gold. It's custom and expensive..oooOOOoo a lotus elise just went by....err anyway it looks like i guess that's the route im going to take for now. House of kolor has some interesting paint. I guess i wouldnt be going from flat black to gold. I wish i could find a matte black to gold but i guess decals are the only way to go. I'll have to go to a body shop and ask around
