    Does a 2002 WS6 need the WS6 hood?

I've seen several people do a 93-97 front end upgrade to 98-02 style and am wondering if this would work in reverse.

After some front end damage I'm thinking about going from the 98-02 style to 93-97 front end and am wondering if I would need an early 93-97 WS6 hood or would a regular 93-97 work fine. I've always thought the 93-97 formulas were nice and sleek, so that's the look I would want to go for.

I'd just buy a 92-97 ws6...I never saw the point or ability to justify the cost to convert it

You could probably get a better deal on the 93-97 parts vs 98-02. So if that's what you want, I'd say go for it. The WS6/Ram Air hood for those years will be hard to come by, however, unless you go aftermarket.

I have to say this is a first for me to hear someone wanting to go to early 4th gen styling.

You will need: nose piece, hood and fenders in order to make conversion. Like state above the hood being the biggest obstacle. There are aftermarket companies that make really good hoods, VFN for one. A donor car would be best bet.

The biggest thing IMHO will be that you depreciate the value of your WS6. If you tire of it and go to resale you'll have a Hell of a time explaining it's a 2002 car with an early 4th gen look.

Will the raised air box fit with the flat hood?

First time I have heard of this too. Most people keep the factory look if not upgrade their hood.
