Custom fuel rail covers, POST YOUR PICS

Anybody have some custom Fuel rail covers on their car? I ordered some from After thoughts, a month or so a go, and just wanted to see some pics of some in the car. I got mine to match my car, Metalic blue with silver lettering. Also how hard to put them in?

Not a great picture showing them installed, but the 2nd picture is a good picture of how they look.

You will need to remove your strut brace and need probably about 15 band aids and 24 beers!

Not real hard to install. The passenger side is very easy actually. The STB has to be off. The driver side isn't bad, the main thing you need to cut the heat tape on the 2 fuel lines so they can seperate.

I used the heat tape and would recommend it. After spending $250-300 on the FRCs, I like the cheap insurance. My BMR STB has no fitment issues. I think its the SLP and Hotchkis STB that have fitment issues with FRCs.

P, why is it that when i see FRC on ebay they do not have all the precut holes/previsions that yours do? do you have a part number or some sort of reference on what to look for, or even years (98-02 vettes)...?

    for example:

    I got mine from Afterthoughtsauto.com

They pre-cut theirs to fit fbodies. Thats why theirs are more expensive than what you would get from GMpartsdirect as well.

Because those with the one slot were meant for the later LS1 Corvette.
So many unsuspecting people buy the one slot covers because they don't know any better. If you are going to do it yourself, start with the 1997-1998 design. They have the two slots already required for the F-body application.

12556455, Right Side Fuel Rail Cover
12559261, Left Side Fuel Rail Cover

Then start cutting if necessary. Some people remove the AIR & EGR stuff from the car so you don't have to cut so much out of the rear of the covers.

But you will have to cut them to fit the F-body. They don't simply fit without some modifcations.
