Red Fire- 2007 Mustang GT/CS
Just be careful when buying an aftermarket valance.. I did one from someone else on LS1Tech on my 01 SS.. The fitment was... less then optimal.. but better then most of the aftermarket ones I have seen.. I opted in the end to not install it ( After I had it painted ..) and sold it. I do understand that the OEM ones are Rare and Expensive.. But if your after show quality or just fussy as hell ( I am ) An aftermarket one may not be for you.

damn they are hella expensive i shouldve kept the one i bought a while ago, i bought a brand new one, aftermarket though for 169.00 plus 40.00 shipping man do peeps take advantage of a good thing, lol. If i buy one aftermarket i will state in the paypal message field if it does not fit properly and you accept payment i will be getting my refund back. The Guz, the sponsor we have will they give us any type of break on the price 400.00 bucks is pretty steep. Ill contact him as well and see but i hope he can give me some sort of discount.

Sign up on his forum. He usually responds to posts pretty quickly plus you can pm him. He uses the same name as his site. I am not sure about a discount.

I got mine from Injen design in los angeles. Needed a lot of work to make it fit. It comes rough.

These are made by surfacemodz.com and they fit pretty good. I have the same one on my SS and I like the way it fits. PM me if you need his contact info.
Just like any polyurethane part, they need to be prepped and require some work to make them fit. Make sure that you pre-install it (before paint) and have a heat gun ready.Last edited by 9t8z28; 01-03-2009 at 07:45 PM.

3-4 years ago on ebay made out of the same material that they sell now. Hell for an additinal cost they painted it for you. I know people take advantage of stuff like this but having poor fitment and paying hundreds of dallors out of pocket for a valence is really a rip off.

I agree, since having a car factory equipped with CME and now seeing all the aftermarket coming out,,,,I haven't seen an aftermarket one yet I would be happy with. Fitment isn't great and takes alot of prep work to even make it marginally acceptable. For the money the aftermarket ones cost thats just horrible.
I am fussy as hell though and agree 100% with Crimson. OEM is the way to go.

What the funny thing is they sell you the tips for fairly cheap and then when you want to buy the Valence, forget it. Im gonna hold on to my center tips for as long as it takes and then when i see a good deal on a valence somewhere and who knows were ill buy one then.

Probably the best thing to do if you don't want to pay for an OEM piece. At some point they will start turning up in swap meets for a steel.
I am already seeing LS6 heads and intakes at various swap meets for good deals. These cars get a few more years on em' and you'll find just about everything at the swap meets.

i'm in the same boat, i'm looking for a valance. i had and slp one with the quad tips. but didn't like the look so i sold it complete, because the dual tips were about 500.00 then(about 2 years ago) for them. i wish i would have kept the valance it was in great/ mint shape.

well if you have the tips like i do your almost there, i have the oval tips which i love but 400 bucks for a valence is a complete rip and rather wait not in a hurry to do that set up and will buy cheaper tips to last me for some time till i find one at a good price. So were both gonna have to wait lol but its not something we need but something we want so that aint bad.

i hear you. they come up once and a while.
these are the tips i got. not the same company though.

but for 150.00 shipped i didn't think that was to bad.
i want to run this with my borla catback. i think that would sound sweet.

WOW! I didn't realize that there was a company polishing these. I got my repo valence from surfacemodz.com about a year ago for (If I remember correctly) $200 shipped from California. Granted there was alot of prep work (especially since polyurethane bleeds) it turned out really nice and fits very well.
