The dash ones are easy if it's a Camaro, just pop out your front dash, then a couple bolts hold your gauge cluster in. Pull that out and the bulbs go right in the back side. A few of us have gotten the bulbs off superbrightleds.com or something like that. Door panels should just be plug and play as well. The only thing I'm not to sure of is the steering controls, those probably need welding.

    Here's a link to some pics and I think a how-to: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...light=LED+dash

I replaced my TA steering wheel with a camaro steering wheel and to get the steering wheel buttons to show red (like the rest of the TA) instead of the camaro white/blue, I just removed the little blue boot/condom off the LEDs and put a coat of candy apple red paint on them with a small paintbrush. Not too much because you still need the light to shine through. Final result was close to factory slightly pink/red, I can always put another coat on to make them a little darker red, but they look pretty good. I'll post pix if I remember.

Here's a write up I did on another board on what LED's to use from Superbrightleds.com. It's really easy to swap LED's, but what the guys above didn't tell you is that you can't just swap LED's and get the color you want.

Camaro's and Firebirds have a tint type of "silkscreening" on the back of the gauge faces. That's what turns the lights to a slight greenish/blue tint (in a Camaro or red on a Firebird). If you just replace the bulbs in your Camaro all you get is a mix of red light (LED's) with blue/green tinting. You'll need to to lots of work to the backs of the gauge faces. you'll need to lightly sand the backs down to remove the tinting (but that also removes the adhesive). Also, if you sand too hard or too deep, you might go through the overlay.

Just be careful or just buy new overlays to solve the problem.
