Clear turn signal and rear bumper lenses

I just bought some clear turn signal and rear bumper side marker lenses for my Z/28. My question is-since the lenses are clear would I buy yellow bulbs for the turn signals and red bulbs for the rear bumper sides?? If so does anyone know the bulb numbers for the front turn signals(I believe each turn signal has 2 bulbs?) and the number for the rear bumper side marker lights?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Did you end up going with the diamond ones from afterthoughts?

Yes you will buy the orange bulbs for the turn signals and red for the rear. You are correct there are two bulbs up front, I believe the big bulb for up front is a 3157 which you will need the orange then the small bulb is a 194 you will need oragane again. The rear ones are 194's as well.

    Thanks bro!
No I went with some clear ones off ebay. They look good and the price was right.

Jon-I wanted to ask you-how did you go about bending your 1969 Z/28 emblems so they fit on the fenders? I figured I would ask you rather then mess mine up. Thanks

All I did for the emblems was cut the tabs off the back. Then I wraped them in a small towel and placed them on my garage floor and gently pushed down on them. I also gently hit them with a rubber mallet. They did not come out perfectly flat but they were good enough. You need to be very gentle they will break especially where the / meets the the Z and where it meets the 28 that is a very fragile spot. Good luck.

I dont have any pictures yet. It will be about 3-4 weeks because I have a ton of new parts I am getting put on first. The last thing I plan on doing is taking the headlights, tail lights, turn signal and rear bumper lenses out then clay bar, polish, glaze, and wax her then install new headlights, tail lights and tunsignal and rear bumper lenses.

** as far as the 69 z28 emblems and clear turn signal and rear bumper lenses- I admit I got the idea from JonB's car pictures. I instantly fell in love with the way it all looked on a black z/28. I had no plans at all to replace my stainless z/28 fender emblems till I saw his. I was like " oooooooooo I gotta have that!!!"

Thanks for the inspiration JonB !!!!!

It works out pretty close in price. Here is where I ordered my turn signal lenses and then realized they had package deals in their store.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-94...4383QQtcZphoto

to answer your question, I went with Amber bulbs (#194) for the small and dont remember the bigger ones for the clear front corner lenses and red bulbs (#194) for the side markers...

Breakx- I have edit my first post I went with amber/orange bulbs for the rear lights as well as the front. It pulls everything toghter better for my car. There orange calipers, orange in the emblems and orange lights. It's not the same exact orange but red just seemed out of place on the back. Thanks for the compliments.

Keibe05- I answered your pm but Breakx actually posted a better pic than I sent you. I'll answer your question here as well for everyone else that might see this thread.

"a 69 z28 emblem, wont fit up under a taillight will it?"

Yes it will but the / in it will hang just a bit over the panel top and bottom, it not real noticable from a distance but up close you can kinda tell.

    Here's the new setup.
