I used my cordless drill, a small polishing wheel, rubbing compound and then final polished it Meguir's Plastc X. They look as good as new.

They were both yellow and really impacted the way the car looked from the front. Everything nice and shiny except for dingy headlight lenses. I got tired of looking at it, did some research, and dove in. Besides, new ones cost over $300 ea.
If I can help any of you take the plunge, let me know and I'll be glad to help out. It really makes a big difference in the appearance of the car.
My lenses in my avatar pic was from my previous attempt to use wet sanding and then finishing off with Plastic X by hand. Better but still wasn't good enough for me. The polishing compound made the difference.Last edited by dbuie; 09-22-2006 at 04:38 AM. Reason: Addition

I didn't go to work today, playing hookie, but I will find out and let you know. I believe that one of the employees told me that it was 1200 grit compound.
