Chuckie669 Attempts CETA mod

Well, hopefully you guys enjoy. Give me your honest opinion on how it looks as this was my first real attempt at painting anything.

I was really nervous when I started sanding on my paint, Then I found some spider cracks in the lower bumper which I fleshed out and they all appear to be gone now.

Few pics below. Will put it back on the car tomorrow (letting it sit overnight) and give you the finished product.

Nice! Ive been considering doing it but havent seen to many on Pewter to convince me. Cant wait to see the finished product on the car.

Thanks guys. I'll post pics up first thing in the morning. I forgot to fix the bolt that had popped out of the plastic and it says cure time for the plastic weld is 24 hours so it looks like I have to wait a bit longer than I wanted.

As promised. The lighting is not the best. I'll try and clean her up later and see if I can get some better pics.

Does anybody know where you can get some good LED's locally? I bought a bunch of the 18 bulb led replacements, but they don't light up the taillights during the day at all.

yea what did you paint it with and what brand of paint?? how many coats of what and how much sanding?? oh yea its sweet!!

Thanks for all the compliments.

I used a 320grit sanding block (i think). Then washed it with dawn and taped off area. rubbed it down with some rubbing alcohol to be sure and then sprayed with Duplicolor adhesion promotor and then Duplicolor bumper paint. I really wished I had used some kind of primer, but a few extra coats of the paint darkened it up.

Thanks for all the great comments. I think it came out decent for someone who doesn't have a clue about painting.

I'm also stoked, I found all my missing LED's. Just replaced all my bulbs with em. :WOOT:
