    Cheap Ebay Hood

Alright guys I know the warnings i've heard on here about gettin a cheap hood. But has anyone bought this hood or have opinions about it. . .
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fiber...spagenameZWDVW

Its only about a 2 hr drive so I'd go pick it up savin me about another 100 or so bucks for shipping (itd probably take at the most 40-50 bucks in gas)

I've emailed them asking about quality and fitment. They say that have had very few complaints (i know they would say this to sell it). It also uses the stock hoods shocks.

What issues is there with a cheap hood? All opinions welcome!

problem with cheap hoods is that the fitment may be crap... and fiberglass is a b*tch to work with if it's molded incorrectly. I'd be warry of that hood.

To let you know I Purchased a glass hood and it was not as cheap as the one you are looking at, I had alot of time making it fit right and keeping the body lines and gaps looking right, I actually had to put a grinder on one of the edges to make it look right, and sand alot What I am saying is this You can buy a cheap hood but expect to spend alot of time fitting it and making it look right, if you are not capable of the work yourself and have to pay someone you are saving nothing. Your hood purchase is just like everything else in this world YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. From what I hear the suncoast performance hood is supposed to fit very well but it is not really that cheap. My experience.

Exactly what i was thinkin but i've even heard some of the expensive hoods like suncoast have crappy fitment also. I'd be willin to spend a few extra hours preppin in exchange for payin $300 or more. . ya know? I've also heard that on some of the more expensive hoods, you can't use the hood shocks. is this true?

    Looks good!

Save up, and spend the money right... cheap fiberglass hoods are just asking for trouble like I said.

yeah i really like the superhawk hood from us exoctics . . but everytime i watch it on ebay it goes for like 900 bucks. even the ws9 hood gets up around 700. then you got at least another 150 for shipping.

Yes thats the guy. Sometimes they bring good money and other times you can get them cheep. I think i have seen one gor for 400 something. Also i forgot to tell you. Just send him a message and make him a offer. He is a very nice guy and will sell you one without haveing to win the auction.
