Yeah that's the original overdrive button. Haven't found anything to hook it up to though. Would be great for line lock or something or the sort.

I replaced mine with a billet one from a company that is now selling former MBA products:

Here is a picture of the adapter:

Yup, thats the adapter anyone would need for the T-handle shifter. Two set screws tighten down on the white plastic actuator allowing the whole assembly the ability to be pushed down the release the lever from Park

The ws6store has them, for sure. It doesn't change how your shifter works. It works the same as if you had your normal shifter on. Just instead of pushing a button, you push down on the knob.

Here you go with plenty of options for a new (custom) knob:

Boot wont work without the entire matching console. I was going to try and remove the plastic shifter sliders but decided not too because i didnt feel like not knowing what gear im in.I cut the boot down really short and let it snug up on the sliders and it looks like a continuation of the plastic sliders and it looks really cool. Ill take pics tomorrow if i wake up early enough. I keep waking up late then i have to go to work as soon as i get cleaned up.. GAY

But Im going to get another boot at somepoint and another center console and do some fabricating... i dont need to mess up the factory console in my DD..

You can take out the sliders and still leave the red slider that indicates what gear your in. That's what I did. Interested to see how you have it set up though.

The light shown through from the bulb that illuminated the console with the sliders taken out. and the middle on left but its looks frikin awesome cuz it doesnt bunch up any when you shift all through the gears, but its rigged and im gonna do it right when i get a console...

Will the M6 console work>? I can deal without knowing what gear im in... I just like the booted look.

I can't edit my old post and update the image links, so here they are again:

If a mod wants to update my original post in this thread with these up-to-date image urls, and delete this post, that would be fine by me.

Overdrive? Mine is a "performance shift" button. When activated a light comes on the dash that says performance shift. It changes the shift points for a snappier, quicker shift when activated. But then again mine is a supercharged car, so maybe on the non S/C cars it is overdrive.

I was referring to the button on the shifter from the Grand Am, it's original use was for turning overdrive on/off. My car came with a 2nd Gear Start, it's a V6 option.
