    Blackout taillights w/Berger panel??

Hey everyone, gotta question. I have a 1998 silver Z28. I added an SS spoiler, '02 center mount exhaust, and a Berger tail panel. Do you all think that black taillight covers would look good with the Berger panel or would it be to much? Opinions? Also, where can I buy taillight blackouts if I decide to do this. Thanks!

Good question. On a black car, the more black it looks the better. On other colours, it depends. Post a picture of your rear and I'll do a quick photoshop of what it would look like. Then you decide.

I think would look pretty good. You can order tail light blackouts at Autozone

I don't have a digi cam or a scanner so I can't get a pic, I think I'm just gonna search around for pics. Thanks though!

Just use a disposable and take lots of pics of your car . Then have them put it on cd.

Well I didn't get a pic of my car, but I found one very similar to it.

Click the link then scroll down to the rear-end shot posted by Poltergeist. (the pewter SS with CME). Just photoshop in the black berger panel and the black taillights and that would be the look I am going for. Thanks for the time guys!

Ok here ya go. Very quickly done since I have to pick up the kids in a bit... I might work on it a bit more for realism, but this way you get an idea.

In satin with chrome fill ins...

In gloss with white fill ins...

    No SS or Bowtie logo...

Hey thanks a lot man, I appreciate it! I still can't tell if I like it or not though. Maybe I'll just buy a set of blackouts instead of the niteshades spray so I can take them off if I don't like it. Thanks again for the photoshop job!

You just take yours and paint it or buy another rear panel and just paint it. It is nothing special it is just called that cause GMMG used them on there Berger Camaros.

I've got a silver Z with a Black Berger, and I just sprayed the taillights black. I'll get some pics posted soon for ya. I was having the same dillema, so I just sprayed them with 3 layers to give them a black tint, but not a black-out. give me like 24 hours... heck, I'll just try to load them now, give me 24 minutes

Man, sorry about that! I took an impromptu trip up north to visit family and never got around to it. Now I'm back in SC, so I'll try to figure out how to post pics, someone let me know if it doesn't work.

That's not the best pic, I'll wash the car tomorrow and take some more. You also have to consider that I don't have the typical Berger Panel, so the lettering may look a little different Unfortunately not different enough that anyone ever notices why the panel took like 8 hours, maybe that'll change when my lazy self finally gets the leds in, maybe

kageSS a '93-96 tail light conversion would prolly look sweet on your car! ...also you could always just paint your tail light panel red, then change your inserts to black, might look pretty sweet with the rest of your red accents...if someone can photoshop it you could see...

GRAPHICS GOD can you photoshop a black z28 with a red, yellow, or silver berger panel. maybe throw black outs on one picture, just for the look... it's a 1999 but i've got the 93-96 tail light conversion, i'll try to find you a picture to start with.
