?Black and Gold?

Just had the SS hood and spoiler painted on my 98 Gold Z28. How's it look?

Seriously........... The berger (hugely overdone on these cars) if you must have it NEEDS TO BE FLAT BLACK!! The spoiler needs the manta stripe down the center to flow with the stripe on the hood. WTF is with this trend of painting the whole damn spoiler black?? Looks like a junkyard piece that you cant afford to paint.

I agree, I think the manta stripe carried to the back would be better.
And carried into the front bumper also.
And in my opinion, I don't care for the headlight covers either, ...
But, to each their own. So enjoy YOUR car!

(And I love the black & gold themes, ...)

Its not my taste either. I dislike the idea of the spoiler being done in black. The hood scoop does look great. I personally would have run the black stripe down the spoiler instead of doing it entirely black. Black and gold does look good together.

I would lose the headlight covers, they really cheapen the look of the front end of your car.

Maybe these pictures just make the spoiler look worse than it does in person. I don't know. Everybody that has seen it in person has told me it looked good and I think it does to, but nobody on here seems to like it. I thought it would look good and just be something different because I had never seen it done before. I guess I'm just unaware of this trend that CamaroFan71 is talking about. O'well, it's done now and I'm happy with it so I guess thats what matters right? And as far as the headlight covers go I don't like them anymore than you all. But if you seen how cracked, busted, and dirty my headlights were you would understand. They are only a cheap temporary fix until I can afford a new set of headlights. Thanks for the opinions and imput everybody.

You are correct in saying that it only matters if YOU like it. I wasnt bagging on you or meaning to be an ass. You asked for opinions and I gave mine along with everyone else. When you replace the headlights think about trying the whistler mod at the same time, I think that will set the front end off a bit for you.

ok sorry to jack the thread but what the hell is the "whistler mod", I've heard it talked about but don't know what it is. BTW i think the car looks great except for the headlight covers, never been a fan of them on any car, and as far as the spoiler i like it

I'll probably just buy a set of black halos. They're cheaper then a set of factory headlights anyway.

Do you mean I should have put more thought into it before I painted it? Because if thats what you mean, then trust me I put a lot of thought into it before I did it. One of the guys on here had even photoshoped it for me.

I like the color combo, it's certainly different....I don't think I've EVER seen a Camaro that color.

I agree with pretty much everything that was said above.

Kudos on doing something different though....it's nice to see a Z without hocky stick stripes and Z06's once in a while.

I'd suggest some sort of black wheel and a new grille for your next mods. And maybe paint the mirrors gold. That's one thing that always bothered me about Camaros....the black mirrors. On any color other than black, they look goofy, like they're just sort of hanging there.

My opinion is your car looks sweet. When it comes to looks on your car it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks. If you love your spoiler black i think it looks damn nice.
